SEA games 2005... in Bacolod!
A lot has happened since I posted last.. I should've made an entry for
each occasion, but I really don't want to have too much posts in a few
weeks. one post will do. And now, I'll be concentrating on the recently
concluded SEAG! Okay... where do I start...
I
thought i wouldn't get a chance to watch the SEA games, [which is dumb,
seeing that it's held in the city (bacolod) and it is SUCH a rare thing
too.] We were supposed to watch a game during our P.E. classes, but a
rumor spread that all tickets were sold out. Turns out, BASOC won't
sell tickets to a game unless it was already the DAY of the game.
we
got the tickets and the trip pulled through.! So.. we went to West
Negros College to watch the indoor volleyball competition. Lucky us,
because we got to see th Philippine Team in action (they were rubbish
though..). Despite the inclosed
<!-- error: Be right back to update -->
Been
trying to add new things to wo de blog. but woe is me. i don't think
I'm succeeding very much. you tell me. (daming mali mali.. darn that
player..) I might change my layout/template... siguro if I find a good one, or if I'll be able to make my own...
learned a valuable lesson: SAVE YOUR WORK. Especially if you've written a lot already. Gawd, I hate it when that happens.

Eversince the day I watched Goblet of Fire, I would always go to this here pensieve in an attempt to write a review about the movie. Try as I might, I couldn't string two thoughts together that had much coherence to make enough sense. (Did that make sense? If it didn't, paxenxa kung nataktak IQ mo... puluta na bago madula...) As you can see in my previous blog entry, all I managed to say was "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH" So I channeled my madness in the forums of HPANA, where it was actually better for me because it was "interactive" (in other words, I could argue with other fans.. ahehe, kalingawan sng kabuhi ko.. *big grin* Visit the forum, and you might just see my posts. Obviously, I decided not to write a review anymore, so instead I'll just write my reactions randomly as they pop up in my Cerebral cortex. Like PoA, first part was very rushed. But I don't blame them, they had to fit a 734-page novel in a 2hr 30min movie. Funniest HP movie, hands down. With the exception of the graveyard scene, I was laughing throughout the film... wahahaha. Here's my list of those scenes
- Bathtub scene: HYSTERICAL! if not a little disturbing.. To think that Shirley Henderson is already 39 yrs old, and she's cozying up to Dan Radcliffe in a tub! *ligid*
- Portkey to the World Cup, and tent. (hehe, i just laughed when I saw Amos, Arthur and Cedric "peddling" down, and Dan's "I Love Magic" line.
- Argus Filch: he was comic relief in this movie
- Ferret scene: loved it in the book, still loved it in the movie. I liked the added part where Moody made a face at Prof Mcgonagall
- Fred and George: Equally hilarious. I'm glad they had more screentime in GoF.
>>"Babbling bumbling bubbling baboons" >>Fred asking Angelina to the Ball >>Age Line scene >>Them teasing Ron during the dacing lessons
- Ron was also hilarious in GoF
>>"But I did tell you about the dragons! I got Hermione to tell you that Seamus told me that he was told by Dean who was told by Parvati that Hagrids looking for you! Well Seamus didn't tell me anything, so it was all me. I thought after you'd figured that out we'd be ok." I loved the way Rupert acted. >>Hermione waking up Ron at the borrow. (love those arms..) >>"Mr. Weasley, put your arm on my waist." and he's like "what??" >>Fleur kissing Ron "Merci!" >>Harry and Him sulking in the Yule Ball >>Looking at French "assets" and going "Bloody Hell" >>"You I love it when they walk.." >>Ron with his Robes "murder me harry.." >>Snape hitting him and Harry (ouch, that had to hurt.)
- Harry's behavior around Cho Chang (esp. spilling water..lol)
- Neville dancing alone and "I've killed Harry Potter!" line
- Hagrid and Maxime.. wahaha
- Rita Skeeter: Great portrayal by Miranda Richardson... although that scene in the broom closet was uhm, uncomfortable. Like one forumer said.. "Rita Skeeter: Pedophile?"
"this is a broom closet." .."Then you'll feel right at home then."(Inside joke for HPbook fans) The look Stanislav (Viktor Krum) gives to Emma.. could melt... Katie Leung's (Cho Chang's) Scottish accent HATED Michael Gambon. great entrance of Durmstrang and Beauxbatons going back to the bathtub scene: shocking Daniel exposure. I was like "whoa." Barty Crouch Sr. looking like Hitler. Outstanding special effects Brendan Gleeson doing a terrific job as Mad Eye Moody Ralph Fiennes (Say it with me people: "Rafe" not "Ralph") being an EXCEPTIONAL lord voldemort. stellar cast, never disappointing. Kudos to Alan Rickman.
AAAH, I just realized how long this entry turn out to be. And there's still a lot more to mention! Ah well, when it comes to HarryPotter, I just can't shut my mouth.
So if you haven't watched it yet. WATCH IT NOW! I already did twice. kulang pa. ^_^

I will never forget that entrance. ^_^
Most of my birthdays are memorable. I don't know why, but something always comes up on the 16th of November, that years later I can still recall it. It's not always spectacular, mind you.
Nov 16 2000 - grade 5, i started bringing donuts as a treat for my classmates. i know they're happy.. haha
Nov 16 2001 - grade 6, my birthday coincided with our field trip to Iloilo. fun trip, it was!
This was also the premiere date of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, worldwide. But it was shown in the Philippines a week later.
Nov 16 2002 - I remember that this was a Saturday, and that some of us we're in school because of a regional Math seminar. yep, Jiji gave me a Hello Kitty gift set.. which comprised of plastic toothpicks, a small coin bag, a small pouch and one thing I forgot more.. (hehe, I still have those toothpicks..) It was a hilarious birthday, because we bought spaghetti from Jolibee, and the stupid guy forgot to pack a fork in my take-out, and I was even more stupid because I didn't check. Those toothpicks came in handy believe me.
(the day before was the CoS world premiere... wahahaha)
Nov 16 2003 - This birthday I didn't quite enjoy, It was a sunday, so that means i'm just at home with no friends to mingle with. What's worst is that both my parents we're in Thailand because of a rare reunion of Tan's from all over southeast asia. It would have been awesome if I could've come. asa pa ko. (No HP too.. aww)
Nov 16 2004 - Third year. Although this was my first birthday without my father, It was at least better than what I had the previous year. At school, there was a contest held at the gym. It was Two-Person Improvisation and Classical Piece Interpretation. (I remember because of Titania, Juliet and some guy..hehe) Yet again I brought donuts for the batch, and the kept passing the boxes along the stands, It was funny seeing the faces of the other students. I don't know, I just thought it was funny.
Nov 16, 2005 - That brings us TODAY. What can i say?
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!
I. Will. NEVER. Forget. This. DAY!!!

Eddie Guerrero, born Eduardo Gori Guerrero Llanes (October 9, 1967 – November 13, 2005) On November 13, 2005, Guerrero passed away in his hotel room in Minneapolis, Minnesota, at the Marriott City Center Hotel. The cause of death according to Hennepin County medical examiners was that he suffered a massive coronary (heart attack) while he was brushing his teeth. I know i'm not a fan of Eddie Guerrero, or WWE for that matter (I used to be, when I was a kid, but I got irritated with all the drama...) But, well it was quite a shock still. I mean, who would have expected it? I always thought wrestlers die of wrestling injuries... ah well. This just proves no one knows when they pass this earth... On a lighter note... watch that countdown!!! 1 day, 6 hours and counting until GoF!!!! wootwoot!!

Also proud to have chinese roots, I just wish I can speak more fluent madarin though… *sobsob I love to sing, quite the music-lover cause I really enjoying listening to all genres-- jazz, pop, RnB, ballads, country, disco, rock, opera... well almost... despise (heavy) metal rock, if you even consider it as music. all i hear is noise. A certified PotterHead!!! and as weird as it sounds, a minesweeper addict!
Tagboard. Say something.
